Polaris Software Lab develops applications for commercial, corporate, and investment banks, as well as the insurance industry. Its proprietary software suite, called Intellect, consists of nine programs to manage customer accounts, credit card and loan services, and allow customers to access their accounts online. Subsidiary Optimus Global Services provides business process outsourcing (BPO) services, which enable a company to outsource administrative back office functions. Citigroup has a 43% stake in the company and is Polaris’ largest customer, representing almost the same amount in annual sales.
