Sneakpeeq is a social shopping application on Facebook that brings the benefits of the in-store shopping experience to the online world. A traditional recruiter is a sales person – selling a particular engineer to a company, then convincing the engineer that they want to be sold. Whitetruffle is very different in that we make the match, allow companies and engineers complete control over how they want to represent themselves, then provide an easy platform for either side to say yes or no and provide feedback.

Attracting top engineering talent to an early-stage startup can be challenging. Art Rivilis manages the Whitetruffle account for Sneakpeeq and, actively responding to feedback from engineers reviewing his company and incorporating some suggestions from us on how to improve his profile, worked hard to make his company’s profile shine. Profiles can include links, your Twitter feed, a video, show the skills you are currently looking for, and a company’s responsiveness score. A company’s profile is the first thing a potential candidate sees and can make a big difference in whether they want to talk to you or not.
