We all know people who have been affected by prostate or testicular cancer. What are some of the best ways we can help? Many times, just by showing support and being there for them. We also thought is would be a good idea to participate in Movember.
What is Movember? “An annual, month-long event involving the growing of moustaches during the month of November to raise awareness of prostate cancer and other male cancer initiatives. The Movember Foundation runs the Movember charity event, housed at Movember.com. The goal of Movember is to ‘change the face of men’s health.’
By encouraging men (”Mo Bros“) to get involved, Movember aims to increase early cancer detection, diagnosis and effective treatments, and ultimately reduce the number of preventable deaths. Besides getting an annual check-up, the Movember Foundation encourages men to be aware of any family history of cancer, and to adopt a more healthy lifestyle.” (*)
All it takes is growing a little mustache and we can raise money to help those impacted by those conditions. Here’s Smarty’s mustache so far:
We have big goals for donations. If you donate $1K, Smarty will wear a hat with your logo for 3 days. If you donate $5K, Smarty will wear a hat with your logo until Dec 1st (don’t make these donations anonymously, duh!).
